Is there a better time of year to donate your eggs? We think so!
1. No Bikini Bloating
For some donors, medications and birth control can cause some temporary water weight gain, along with bloating, and just feeling kind of ‘meh’. While that’s completely normal, you might not feel like your best self during those few weeks.
2. You Won’t Have to Skip Summer Cocktails (if that’s your thing)
We get it- if you’re 21, sipping an Aperol Spritz by the pool or enjoying rosé at brunch with the girls, summer cocktails are kind of great. But if you’re donating your eggs, alcohol is a no-go while you’re taking the medications. So, if you're someone who enjoys them, donating in the cooler months could mean fewer temptations.
3. Your Schedule Might Be More Open
The egg donation process is a time commitment, with multiple in-person appointments. If you like to travel or take vacations during the summer, this could lead to some scheduling conflicts or you might not be able to have a spontaneous trip. Donating during the fall or winter might make it slightly easier if your schedule is usually packed.
So, if you’re thinking about donating your eggs, keep in mind these are just tips! You can become an egg donor any time of the year! It’s entirely up to you. We’ll always work with your schedule to make sure it’s the best fit.
